--- Comment #8 from Parsa Samet <qps@irbug.org> ---
(In reply to Sasha Vigole from comment #2)

I have to disagree either. Using non-Persian words/terms written with Persian
alphabets would eventually lead to a disastrous translation (for reasons that
Faraz has already given in previous comments), and AFAIK these terms aren't
actually well established in the modern Persian (maybe used in some unofficial
forums or group-chats, but definitely not to all people and especially new
comers or even students). They're not even accepted by the Academy of Persian
Language and Literature (APLL) and instead, they have suggested some good
translations for them. Also, we mostly rely on (APLL) for conventions,
orthography, and etc.

One more thing regarding your comment #6, I think that there aren’t that many
active Persian speakers on The FreeBSD Forums who would see or care much about
contributing to translation of FreeBSD Handbooks. Not that we don't have
Persian contributors, we do, yes I know. But overall, it's a great suggestion,
we should definitely ask for other's opinions as well. But personally, I'm
totally against using foreign words where we already have appropriate Persian
words.
