It is a pity the PR was neglected. Partially because it does not specify
FreeBSD version, I'm sure.

It does not specify if the system uses NAT to process traffic for clients. =
In
standard setup, NAT processing is performed in interrupt contents and this
explains why multiple NAT sessions increase CPU usage and impair locking
performance.

Close this 9 years old PR. Feel free to re-open it if the problem is still
relevant.
