I'm not sure that this is valid, if no one has pursued getting the ports patches donated back to the KDE project itself. If the ports patches make the code FreeBSD specific (i.e. they are nothing more than a crude hack), then I'd say he had a point, and that "someone who believes GPL'ed code should ``work out of the box on FreeBSD'' should step up and provide real patches to the KDE project". Saying that last either invalidates or reinforces his argument, depending on the nature of the patches FreeBSD applies. -- Terry
