https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D220399 Bug ID: 220399 Summary: Handbook java browser plugin instructions are no longer applicable Product: Documentation Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Documentation Assignee: freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.org Reporter: rwestlun@gmail.com https://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/desktop-browsers.html Handbook section 6.2 Browsers contains a few sections about how to setup Ja= va and other plugins in various browsers. Firefox and Chromium (among others) no longer support NPAPI plugins like Ja= va, so these instructions are no longer valid. I think you can still use the icedtea-web package to run downloaded Java Web Start applications manually, which should be explained in this section. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
