Hi,
I am having troubles with dump, I have read the man pages, and the handbook
doesn't seem to have much to say either. I am running FreeBSD 4.4 Stable.
This is what is happening:
server> dump -0au -f /dev/sa0 /var
DUMP: Date of this level 0 dump: Mon Oct 1 07:50:22 2001
DUMP: Date of last level 0 dump: the epoch
DUMP: Dumping /dev/ad3s1 (/var) to /dev/sa0
DUMP: Cannot open /dev/ad3s1
My relevant DMESG information is:
ad0: 2014MB <QUANTUM FIREBALL SE2.1A> [4092/16/63] at ata0-master UDMA33
ad3: 32253MB <ST340824A> [65531/16/63] at ata1-slave UDMA33
. . .
sa0 at ahc0 bus 0 target 2 lun 0
sa0: <SONY SDT-9000 0400> Removable Sequential Access SCSI-2 device
sa0: 10.000MB/s transfers (10.000MHz, offset 15)
