I will note that we use the 4G Hawks on our news server here, have had no problems with them, and they are on Adaptec 1742A SCSI adapters (EISA Bus). Again -- NO problems have been noted with these disks here, and they get the dickens beat out of them daily. This is on FreeBSD -STABLE. I suspect the sequencer code. The 27xx series adapters have been problematic for us here, and they also require downloaded sequencer code. -- -- Karl Denninger (karl@MCS.Net)| MCSNet - The Finest Internet Connectivity Modem: [+1 312 248-0900] | (shell, PPP, SLIP, leased) in Chicagoland Voice: [+1 312 803-MCS1] | 7 Chicagoland POPs, ISDN, 28.8, much more Fax: [+1 312 248-9865] | Email to "info@mcs.net" WWW: http://www.mcs.net ISDN - Get it here TODAY! | Home of Chicago's *Three STAR A* Clarinet feed!
