Actually, all that this shows is how much space is being wasted on the page. :-) Using your left alignment for the big index, it's quickly obvious that the banner image could be moved over about half an inch, the quick index moved in under the hot list and the right-edge icons moved left about half an inch or so to line up with the banner graphic.
