My apologies beforehand; but, this is the only place where such questions may be answered. 1. Using the prompts in Open Firmware, booting from a usb flash drive does not seem to work. 2. We moved the iMac g4 after resetting the password; and, the system will not boot the native OSX. 3. "fsck -fy" returns a SIGNAL 8 error. I'm limited in my tools because I am at a friends' house. There are no computers with either a BSD or Linux installation. I see that it is a floating point exception. In either Open Firmware or single user mode, are there any commands that would fix the current problem? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
