Okay, I read LINT for tuning the IDE controller ... what happens if I just crank the puppy for max sectors and check for 32 bit I/O? Under what conditions DOESN'T this work properly? (System is an ISA/VLB 486/66, an IBM PS/1.) -- Drew Derbyshire Internet: ahd@kew.com Kendra Electronic Wonderworks Telephone: 617-279-9812 "Who are these men of lust, greed, and glory?" - Supertramp
