questions@freebsd.org isn't a good place to ask functional questions about XFree86 -- hey, we just use it. :-) Try 'questions@xfree86.org'. But I'll try anyway: On Tue, 10 Sep 1996, liam wrote: > I've been looking around at all the x86 networking solutions based off > UN*X: FreeBSD, BSDi, Solaris x86, Linux, and none of them seem to > support the S3 ViRGE chipset found in the Diamond Stealth 3D-2000 video > card. Have you tried the S3 accelerated server? Have you tried the beta version (available from ftp.xfree86.org)? I had to move to the beta series when ATI changed the Mach64 version and the 3.1.2S release didn't support it. This isn't really a question of whether FreeBSD supports it; it's whether XFree86 supports it.
