Hello Ian, thank you for the very quick response, and yes, after applying your patches, scanning is up and running again like it used to be! I can only test the Epson Perfection 1260 (plustek) and an 8-in-1 card reader, but so far have not noticed any ill side effects. Best regards, Holger
