Don't know exactly about PVR-250 cards but pvrxxx is currently a problem and known to fail since MythTV 0.22. I've tried to narrow down the problem with Torfinn Ingolfsen for pvrxxx but could not find a solution. Can you please also put the following patch into /usr/ports/multimedia/mythtv/files/ and reinstall mythtv.
