What a shame.  This looks like a valuable tool.
A nice java ide that ISN'T proprietary closed source.

Can you recommend any other IDE's that at least have some basic object
management and maybe a GUI editor?

I am tired of spending an hour finding bugs with only vi, appletviewer,
and a stack dump.
