Hi, What's your opinion on the above clause in kernel config file? I know it's the holy tradition which stands behind it, but I find it totally misleading in current state of affairs. Perhaps I'm missing some bigger picture, but for me it's equal to something like: enable choosing the root device. Could it be expressed better in terms of normal kernel option, say "options ASK_ROOT"?
