I've been using phk's fla driver for these things for about 4 months
now (give or take) and have found that it works really well.  I have
FreeBSD running on a board that is approx 2"x2"x3/8" with one of these
things.  The base OS takes about 15M right now, but I haven't tried to 
do anything that put a minimal number of files on the device.
