That would make it kind of hard to access multiple filesystems on a diskless machine. The only real problem with mounting (NFS or otherwise) on an NFS filesystem is that if the server for the NFS filesystem dies, you can't access the filesystems that are mounted on it because any process that tries to traverse the path will wedge, and you can't unmount the NFS filesystem because because it is busy. If you can't restart the dead server, the only way to clean things up on the client is to reboot.
