I don't see your modem conversation in the log. If you didn't do the AT bit after running ``term'' (you must have right ? Otherwise you'd have a ``set dial'' somewhere in the log ?), then that'd be the problem - when you drop into terminal mode, you're expected to do the dial & login bits. Does your card respond to AT after you type ``term'' ? If so, ppp's talking to the device ok. > I'm using a rather new PCMCIA modem on a Thinkpad 760ED.
