Hello all. I have the following problem - when I try to build autoconf-2.53, the build process dies with an error saying that Makefile cannot be found. It is indeed so. ./configure runs successfully but Makefile is not created. This is the only port which gives me such error. Some other ports dies on compilation test, saying executables cant be created. I traced it to the part of configure which creates conftest.c - it is created EMPTY on my system. I suspect that these two are related, but I cannot find the reason for this. Can someone explain to me in short terms what programs are involved in building ? Ive tried to reinstall everything possible from ports/devel. make world works with no problem, and Ive done it several times. I am completely at loss here.
