What I did is remove the /var/mail directory and link /var/mail to
/usr/spool/mail. I had to reset up the premissions on the directory, but
everything works good. Since mail is now on my /usr directory it is subject
to the quotas. Hope this helps, or atleast gives you an idea or two.
