https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=202181 Bug ID: 202181 Summary: /home missing for auto-UFS install (under UEFI) -- unable add non-root user Product: Base System Version: 11.0-CURRENT Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: misc Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: marcel@FreeBSD.org An install in Vmware Fusion, configured with the UEFI firmware, and using the Auto-UFS partition option left the root file system without /home (nor /usr/home). Adding a non-root user failed (partially) with pw(8) not being able to create /home/${USER} and populate the user's home directory. The user was added to /etc/passwd though. FreeBSD snapshot: FreeBSD-11.0-CURRENT-amd64-20150804-r286285-disc1.iso Sorry, no screenshots... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
