There appears to be a form of race condition that causes the options to be strangly interpreted. I think it has to do with how the options are packetized - the receiver of them doesn't coalesce them correctly when they span multiple read calls. This is of course just a guess- if I knew what was causing it, I'd have committed a fix. :-) -DG
