Not sure if upgrading from 3.1 > to 3.4/3.5 would resolve this but it is mainly an irritant. I think upgrading wouldn't change anything. I have a Proliant 800 with a Thunderlan NIC and the problem is just the same with FreeBSD 4.0. If I can't fix this, I'll have to put in one of my last remaining DE-500BAs from DEC...
