It doesn't matter for FreeBSD to work, its only a problem if you
have multiple OS's installed and one of those would go behind the
8.4G point, then the fdisk label cannot point at it :)
However FreeBSD can be install as the last OS on the disk, that
will work as long as the bootblock & root fs is below the 8.4G
mark...
