It was recommended back in the 4.X days. actually, my scripts come in two parts. part 1. cd /usr/src/usr.sbin/mergemaster ./mergemaster.sh -pcd /usr/src cd /usr/obj chflags -R noschg * rm -rf * cd /usr/src make buildworld && make buildkernel && make installkernel at this point you need to reboot. when the system comes back (multiuser) part 2: cd /usr/src make installworld && mergemaster then I reboot again. -lee
