urk, why hasn't someone made a UTMP_VERSION #define and
int get_utmp_version(), or whatnot that would
get bumped when utmp/wtmp change?
if(UTMP_VERSION == get_utmp_version()){
login(.....);
} else {
...
syslog( "warning utmp has changed from under me, "
"please recompile <progname>");
...
}
This error seems to be common enough to warrent something of the sort...
