Are you running 100Mbps or 10?

If you are using the 100Mpbs cards and a Synoptics (Bay Networks)
28115 10/100Mbps switch, try turning off full duplex on both the card
and the switch port.

I've read that the full duplex protocol is non standard and can appear
as invalid checksum packets to a card that doesn't support it.

If your're running 10Mbps then I have no idea!
