Hello, -CURRENT'ers!
First of all here is my old message:
------------
This is output from "top" (stripped, XFree86 there shows 331M mem)
As you may notice XFree86 ate 331Mb memory.
After some time it will die after swap_pager_getswapspace(9): failed
This happens daily, after about 8-10 hours of work.
System is 5.2-CURRENT (as of 14-May), same behaviour was on 5.2.1-R
4.8-R worked fine
------------
Today I got myself brand new shiny notebook.
I have installed 5.2.1release from CD and immediately CVSuped
it to -CURRENT. Now it is:
FreeBSD 5.2-CURRENT #0: Sun Jun 13 21:01:23 MSD 2004
And the problem described above is still here.
XFree86 is eating 300M+ RAM again. The hardware is
completely different.
agp0: <Intel 82845G (845G GMCH) SVGA controller>
agp0: detected 8060k stolen memory
agp0: aperture size is 128M
(was ATI)
I have built X from latest ports
And got prebuilt KDE 3.2.3 from fruitsalad.org
What I'm missing?
Seems like I'm the only one with this problem.
But how can it be if it is other hardware.
The is NO custom programs.
Currently running:
KDE, KMail, Licq, Konsole, Kwallet, Noatun, GnuPG, Kmix
and GCC building Mplayer.
Please help
I hate when my X session dies :((
Cheers,
AL.
