Notebook users, Thanks for your input against Centrino, I avoided it with a Nec Versa S800. Missing drivers in FreeBSD 5.1: "mini PCI UGJZ 11a/b" wireless adapter and second frame buffer (VGA connector). I'll avoid partitioning the 1.8" 20GB harddisk and leave the default OS (after wiping the useless 2GB restore partition since drivers are available on Nec's website and from initial backup). Does anyone know how to boot FreeBSD from an external hard disk (CompactFlash, USB2, FireWire) ?
