Even worse, its a backup "breaking" feature that causes errors when you try
to DD your system drive to another, and then update it later with rsync :-)

If you aren't careful important updates to things like 'init' won't get 
propogated to your hot standby system drive.  If you -current you might need
a hot standy system drive someday :-)  Well.....even if you -stable :-)
