Are you able to get XFree86 running at 800x600@8bit on it? yeah, no prob. you need a program to set the display properly before invoking X, called 'cy9382', which can be retrieved from: http://www.yy.cs.keio.ac.jp:81/contrib/sanpei/how2800x600.html I've been having a hard time getting information out of XInside lately. :( me too. a co-worker just got a sample copy of the server and it worked fine for the 10 minutes it lived. rob
