I just knew this would happen. The pccard system works fine, but if I
try to use the sound driver at the same time (on apparently shared irq
9) the system locks up on card insertion (or card removal if I insert
the card, kldload the sound driver and remove the card). This happens
wether the sound driver is a module or compiled in. When the sound
driver is in use, and a card is inserted or removed the speakers pop
although the machine remains hung hard. The pops are kld only,
although the hangs are with both.

This is with hw.pcic.intr_path=1 and either value of hw.pcic.init_routing

I suspect that the USB driver has similar effects, although I haven't
tested it completely.

While I am genuinely happy to have the pcmcia stuff going again
(thanks yet again!), I'd like to be able to use my sound system and
probably my USB, too. I do recognize that this is lower priority,
though.

Let me know what I can do to help.
