Hi, it took me a while to find out why 'pkg update' et.al seem hanging from time to time for the last two month or so.. it's just that pkg.freebsd.org is not reachable via IPv6 (at least from time to time). 'pkg -4 update' works flawless and immediately.. is this a known problem ? -- C U T -- $ ping pkg.freebsd.org PING pkg.freebsd.org (213.138.116.73): 56 data bytes 64 bytes from 213.138.116.73: icmp_seq=0 ttl=55 time=47.081 ms 64 bytes from 213.138.116.73: icmp_seq=1 ttl=55 time=51.551 ms ^C --- pkg.freebsd.org ping statistics --- 2 packets transmitted, 2 packets received, 0.0% packet loss round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 47.081/49.316/51.551/2.235 ms $ ping6 pkg.freebsd.org PING6(56=40+8+8 bytes) 2003:c3:4f46:d278:e54:15ff:fe22:27b1 --> 2001:41c8:112:8300::50:1 ^C --- pkgmir.geo.freebsd.org ping6 statistics --- 9 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100.0% packet loss -- C U T -- Best Henryhelp
