At Thu, 7 Dec 2000 it looks like Doug Young composed: dougy->Do yourself a favor & use one of the cards that is known to work dougy->consistently ..... eg 3-com 509 / SMC 8013 (ISA) or virtually any 3-com / dougy->SMC / Digital / Intel / Tulip (PCI). The mailing list archives are full of dougy->problem reports from people using other cards. dougy-> In doing some recent work with the (Intel) Solaris-8 OS, which is extremely fussy about NIC cards, I found this site and ordered 2 of the Intel PRO 10/100's @ $19.99 each. The arrived and worked like a charm. http://www.stirtz.com/inpro100pcie.html -- Bill Schoolcraft PO Box 210076 San Francisco, CA 94121 "UNIX, A Way of Life."
