Dear Sir, Please reply directly if reading on "Questions" list. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I downloaded ALL source distributions to this machine via "sysinstall" I am still getting this error. The machine is a new dialup PPP Gateway to the Internet. It is functioning fine but I need to add IPFILTER to the Kernel among other things. This was my first attempt on this machine to compile a new Kernel. *=*=* ERROR *** LISTING *** COMMAND: su root -c "make depend && make all install" isa/atkbdc_isa.c ../../isa/ppc.c ../../isa/psm.c ../../isa/sio.c ../../isa/sysc ons_isa.c ../../isa/vga_isa.c ../../kern/subr_diskmbr.c ../../libkern/divdi3.c ../../libkern/moddi3.c ../../libkern/qdivrem.c ../../libkern/udivdi3.c ../../li bkern/umoddi3.c ioconf.c param.c vnode_if.c config.c ../../i386/i386/genassym.c ../../dev/xe/if_xe.c:138: card_if.h: No such file or directory mkdep: compile failed *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/src/sys/compile/CALEB-01. strben@caleb$ *=*=* END of ERROR *** LISTING *** strben@caleb$ uname -a FreeBSD caleb 4.1.1-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.1.1-RELEASE #0: Tue Sep 26 00:46:59 GMT 2000 jkh@narf.osd.bsdi.com:/usr/src/sys/compile/GENERIC i386 strben@caleb$ Thanks in advance for any help...
