I ran into the same syscall/name resolution problems, which didn't go away even after I downgraded back to linux_base-6.1. Not having much time to look for the actual source of the problems, I just went for a low-tech quick fix: copying the /compat/linux tree over from an identical (working) system running linux_base-6.1. That seems to have fixed things for me, but since I want to run StarOffice 6.0 at some point, I'd also like to find out what's wrong with linux_base-7. (I'm guessing that the kenel Linux emulation is not part of the problem.) ~r On Wed, 31 Oct 2001, Doug Barton wrote: : I just upgraded my -stable, deleted my old linux_base port, and installed : linux_base-7.
