Everybody in Linux has problems with it, being somewhat incompatible with 2.0 (you'd think they had learned after the a.out->ELF debacle...). BTW Have you verified if SO 5.1 works after the commit you made ? It was mentioned that you omitted part of it and it could cause problems.
