This probably looks like a job for FLAVORS. -- Juraj Lutter otis@FreeBSD.org Not really. People want to be able to mix-n-match. Bringing in PostgreSQL and/or MySQL brings in heavyweight dependencies. LDAP did not do that. If/when subpackages works with USES that might work. I've had this question asked before, and have been told off. If the project wants me to revert this, I can. -- Larry Rosenman http://people.freebsd.org/~ler Phone: +1 214-642-9640 E-Mail: ler@FreeBSD.org US Mail: 5708 Sabbia Dr, Round Rock, TX 78665-2106 --=_5339e8c94d822f853e51669c855f58d3 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 <html><head><meta http-equiv=3D"Content-Type" content=3D"text/html; charset= =3DUTF-8" /></head><body style=3D'font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial,Helve= tica,sans-serif'> <p id=3D"reply-intro">On 01/31/2024 4:01 pm, Juraj Lutter wrote:</p> <blockquote type=3D"cite" style=3D"padding: 0 0.4em; border-left: #1010ff 2= px solid; margin: 0"> <div id=3D"replybody1"> <div style=3D"overflow-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-bre= ak: after-white-space;"><br id=3D"v1lineBreakAtBeginningOfMessage" /> <div><br /> <blockquote type=3D"cite" style=3D"padding: 0 0.4em; border-left: #1010ff 2= px solid; margin: 0"> <div>On 31 Jan 2024, at 22:59, list_freebsd@bluerosetech.com wrote:</div> <br class=3D"v1Apple-interchange-newline" /> <div> <div>On 2024-01-30 17:17, Larry Rosenman wrote:<br /> <blockquote type=3D"cite" style=3D"padding: 0 0.4em; border-left: #1010ff 2= px solid; margin: 0">The branch main has been updated by ler:<br />URL: htt= ps://cgit.FreeBSD.org/ports/commit/?id=3D94eda313a9d5acc5ff8d00fec7a51862f3= e346da<br />commit 94eda313a9d5acc5ff8d00fec7a51862f3e346da<br />Author: &n= bsp; Larry Rosenman <ler@FreeBSD.org><br />AuthorDat= e: 2024-01-31 01:15:05 +0000<br />Commit: Larry Ros= enman <ler@FreeBSD.org><br />CommitDate: 2024-01-31 01:17:13 +0000<br= /> mail/dovecot: add LDAP as a default option</bloc= kquote> <br />Would you add PGSQL and MYSQL as default options as well?
