FWIW;

I think it would be interesting to do some LLVM testing on Alpha. Like here:

http://wiki.freebsd.org/LowLevelVirtualMachine/

check the devel/llvm port and run 

    make MAINTAINER_MODE=yes regression-target
then report bugs to the llvm developers.

This won't resurrect FreeBSD-Alpha, but I do think it would make the EOL release interesting and usable for a while longer.
