Hi, I wanted to draw attention to what I consider a fairly big problem with the installation of X from the 4.6 snapshots. This has the potential to confuse a lot of people. http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=37863 shows two seperate problems, but the more important one is that 'wrapper' is not installed during the installation of X. If you don't use xdm (or something similar), X won't start up from the console, which I consider to be a fairly large flaw. -- "I tried that nethack game and it fucking sucked" -- The state of the UNIX desktop, according to my girlfriend, Stacey Neilson (meow@violate.me.uk) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-qa" in the body of the message
