There use to be an editor on the 2.x kernel version of PicoBSD, I have it on
a floppy image that I down loaded. But I too noticed that the one in the
FreeBSD source tree doesn't have one.
I just went into the {package}/floppy.tree/etc/rc.conf and made the changes
there. I then re-built the floppy for that package and everything was
nicely configured.
