We are looking at tidying up our log process, and we'd like to use the immutable attribute to protect our log files. The problem, of course, is that if a log file is immutable, then you can't write to it. Does anyone have any pointers or FMs I should R? I would assume that you just place the logs in rotation and set the immutable bit upon rotation, or is there something I'm missing? Feel free to reply via email if you want to avoid list clutter. TIA. _____________________________________________________________________ Todd Graham Lewis Core Engineering Mindspring Enterprises tlewis@mindspring.com (Standard Disclaimers) (800) 719 4664, x2804
