The trick with the ports collection is the search facility.

cd /usr/ports
make search key=kde

You will notice that several kde packages get listed. You have to build
them in a certain order. I think the first is kdesupport, then kdelibs,
then kdebase. Other kde packages are optional (but I recommend them)
such as kdegames etc. Get yourself connected to the 'net, cd into the
directory and type make install.
