This was recently fixed in FreeBSD current, as per PR270053, and will there=
fore
be fixed in FreeBSD 14.0 release - expected to be released in July 2023.

Given this is how the msdosfs driver has functioned since it was first
introduced to FreeBSD decades ago, I don=E2=80=99t believe there is value i=
n merging
this back to 13-STABLE for 13.3-RELEASE.

Therefore, I=E2=80=99m going to mark this bug as fixed, awaiting the 14.0-R=
ELEASE.

Stefan / Nicolas - please let me know if you have any objections to this.
