  Once upon a time it would just fail the USB probe rather than hang.
I'll investigate further.

  Looks like 'make release' is now working so I'll see if I can
crank some ISOs out.

  Missing GDB. Documentation. No X. And as you're about to bring up:

  You mean notebook keyboard/mousepad support ? (syscons is there today
for USB keyboards).

  It's not that difficult, but it's been hard to find time to do it.
And the situation won't improve in the next couple of months since I'm
taking a break. So, unless it gets picked up by someone else, you'll
have to wait 'til November at a minimum :-(
