[replies sent directly to me may timeout and bounce, since I'm not online as often as I should be, but I'll check the list archives] Dobre rano I don't know if this qualifies as a bug, or if it's intentional, or what... but an archive made with `tar' does not include any whiteouts. As far as I can see, neither does `pax'. Which is great if I want to get the deleted files back, but... Is there a way to archive a directory that contains whiteouts without losing them? I can't seem to get anything to work. (Not that I *need* to, I'm just curious...) thanks barry bouwsma To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hackers" in the body of the message
