Maybe you could work with the NIC vendor at disklessworkstations.com
to do a BSD version of the LTSP?

The Linux Terminal Server Project just posted an image or instructions
on
how to get the iopener up and booted diskless off the network and run
as a
X-Terminal all in the 16M flash.  This is what I wanted, too bad it's
Linux
