 Hello bug-followup,
 
 I recompiled the kernel, replacing the entire dev/usb source
 subtree with that from -STABLE, but it didn't help. However,
 doing so with -CURRENT seemed to solve the problem. I'll keep checking
 to precisely isolate the fix that made it.
