The IJ-II (in it's newer releases of software) supported PPPoE DSL connections.. Unfortunatly you have NO HOPE of turining it on if you get to root as everything is controlled from a database and not standard flat files. You need to do it through the web interface. (maybe the LCD) do you know what release of the software you have? do you have PPPoE on your DSL? is it attached by ethernet? Do you have the manuals? If you have looked in the interface and see no PPPoE or DSL mentioned and you have an old release, you may be able to upgrade the software to get PPPoE If you don't know how to upgrade, (you should have received instructions with the machine) the latest version for .de is: -rw-r--r-- 1 0 0 34843407 Sep 6 2001 4.3.cpio.gz.e -rw-r--r-- 1 0 0 99 Sep 6 2001 4.3.cpio.gz.e.md5 on the whistle ftp site.. in the directory /interjet/de I don't know what the encryption key for .de releases was though.. whoever administered it before should know.. or maybe another ex-whistle person can tell you. >=20 > good n8! > benjamin >=20 >=20 > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-hackers" in the body of the message >=20 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hackers" in the body of the message
