https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=263509 Graham Perrin <grahamperrin@gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Summary|FreeBSD Handbook: make |FreeBSD Handbook: improve |clear that kbdmap(1) can |the context for kbdmap(1) ; |set (not just test); and |and use the phrase |use the phrase "keyboard |"keyboard layout" |layout" | --- Comment #1 from Graham Perrin <grahamperrin@gmail.com> --- … hmm, things are slightly clearer after testing. kbdmap(1) does set, however the setting is not persistent. It's lost at reboot. On my everyday computer (configured years ago) I have: % sysrc keymap keymap: /usr/share/syscons/keymaps/uk.iso.kbd % None of the four United Kingdom options in kbdmap produces that map, so (I guess) kbdmap is not wholly useful for testing keymaps without rebooting. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.home | help
