Hey there, I got it working in stable using VNC for the actual 'vga
installation processes' no need for vbox or anything else;

I am using and still use this config:

$ cat kenny.tmp.group
#!/bin/sh

bhyve -A -H -P \
        -s 0,hostbridge \
        -s 2,virtio-net,tap4 \
        -s 4,ahci-cd,/vm/src/2012.R2VL.ESD.ENU.June2016.iso \
        -s 5,ahci-hd,/dev/zvol/zdisk/vm/store/kenny \
        -s 29,fbuf,tcp=172.19.18.1:5900,w=1024,h=768 \
        -s 30,xhci,tablet \
        -s 31,lpc \
        -l bootrom,/usr/local/share/uefi-firmware/BHYVE_UEFI.fd \
        -c 8 \
        -m 6144M \
        kenny

bhyvectl --destroy --vm=kenny
